1. Health Sanitary Inspector
Duration : One year
Age : 14-40 years
Seats : 20
Qualification : Passed 12th class examination (under 10+2 pattern of education or equivalent) in any faculty with minimum of 45% (40% for SC/ST/OBC) required.

Objective of the course : After completion of the course trainees should be able to work as Health Inspector, Sanitary Inspector etc. for recruitment to subordinate post and service under the Central Government, State Government, Abroad.

Age : 14-40 years
Time : 6 months
Qualification : 10th/8th pass
Seats : 16

MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTION :
Punjabi, Hindi, English

ATTENDANCE :
All students must regularly attend lectures and practical beginning with the first day of class. Each student should have a minimum of 80% attendance in each subject as per guidelines issued by Punjab Govt. from time to time.

Any student absenting from the class for more than 10 minutes may be marked absent. Any student staying absent from the class for ten days or more without permission, shall have his name from the rolls struck off. Re-admission within reasonable period shall be allowed after charging Rs. 500/-. Students absenting without proper permission will be liable to pay fine.

RESERVATION
Following seats as per the memo of Punjab Govt number: 35/44-95-II TE-11/721 date 18/2/200 are reserved
1. Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes – 25%
2. Backward Classes – 5%
3. Border Area/ Backward Area (2% each) – 4%
4. Sportspersons – 2%
5. Wards of Political Sufferers /Freedom Fighter – 2%

This will also include the wards of those who have undergone an aggregare of atleast three months of imprisonment in connection with Emergency/Panjabi Suba or Dharm Yudh Morcha for the demands of the State of Punjab.

AWARD OF TRADE CERTIFICATE :
The final trade tests will be conducted as per guidelines of National Council for Vocational Training through Pb. States Board of technical Education and industrial Training after completion of the prescribed period of training and the successful trainees will be awarded the Trade Certificates in the trades concerned by DGE & T Govt. of India, Ministry of Labour.

AGE :
The applicant seeking admission should ordinarily be between 14 and 40 years of age as on the date of the start of the admission session. However, in the case of ex-serviceman and war widows maximum age relaxation limit is 45 years.

Reservation of seats shall be as per Govt. Policy. Selected candidate shall have to appear before a doctor appointed by the institute for medical fitness certificate.

BUS PASS FACILITY ( HSI & Old Age care Students)
The students of the institution shall be eligible for concessional bus passes from Punjab Roadways/PRTC.

GURU NANAK INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL TECHNOLOGY

These courses are recognized by NCVT (National Council for Vocational Training under Directorate General of Employment & Training, Govt. of India). To ensure and maintain uniformity in the standards of training all over the country, the NCVT was step by the government of India in the year 1956. The council has been entrusted with responsibilities of prescribing the standards and circular for craftsman training, advising the Govt. of Indian on the overall policy and programmes, conducting All India Trade Test and Awarding National Trade Certificates. The programmes conducted by the Training Institute and certificate/diploma awarded by NCVT.

National Trade Certificate Awarded to successful trainees of All India Trade Test is recognized qualification for recruitment to subordinates post and services under the Central Govt., State Govt. and Abroad.
