Medical Laboratory Technology ( DMLT)

One year/Two year Diploma Course in MEDICAL LABORATORY TECHNOLOGY [Popularly known as “D.M.L.T.]

1. Minimum Qualification for Admission Matric, 10+1, 10+2. B.Sc., B.A., B.Com. or any equivalent qualifications.
2. Age : No age Restriction.
3. Sex : Both Sexes eligible for Admission.
4. Duration : One Academic Year/Two year.
5. Employment Opportunities :- More than 3,50,000 Medical Laboratory Technicians will be required in 1,75,000 Hospitals / PHCs / Nursing Homes and by medical professionals by 2020 A.D. to fulfil the Alma- Atta Declaration i.e. “Health for all by 2020 A.D.” as the country’s population would rise to more than 125 Crores.
6. The diploma-holder may open his/her own Clinical Laboratory in any part of the country, subject to State Government Laws or under the supervision of a qualified Medical Professional/ Pathologist/ Registered Medical Practitioner.
7. The Diploma Holder will be suitable for Appointment as Medical Laboratory Supervisers/ Technicians/ Assistants in all Private Hospitals/Nursing Homes or with Private Medical Practitioners etc.
8. 70% attendance in theoretical/Practical training classes is compulsory for candidate enrolled for appearing in the final examination.

Operation Theatre Technology

One year/Two year Diploma Course in OPERATION THEATER TECHNOLOGY [Popularly known as O.T. Tech.]

1. Minimum Qualification for Admission Matric, 10+1, 10+2. B.Sc., B.A., B.Com. or any equivalent Qualifications.
2. Age : No age Restriction.
3. Sex : Both Sexes eligible for Admission.
4. Duration : One Academic Year/Two year.
5. The diploma holder will be suitable for appointment as O.T. Technician/Assistants in all private hospitals/Nursing homes or with private Medical Practitioner etc. The candidate must be physically and mentally healthy.
6. 70% attendance in theoretical/practical training classes is compulsory for Candidate enrolled for appearing in the final examination.

X Ray Technology

One year/Two year Diploma Course in X Ray Technology [Popularly known as “Dip. X-Ray Tech.”]

1. Minimum Qualification for Admission Matric, 10+1, 10+2. B.Sc., B.A., B.Com. or any equivalent Qualifications.
2. Age : No age Restriction.
3. Sex : Both Sexes eligible for Admission.
4. Duration : One Academic Year/Two year.
5. 70% attendance in theoretical/Practical training classes is compulsory for candidate enrolled for appearing in the final examination.
6. Employment Opportunities :-

a.) The Diploma holder will be suitable for appointment as X-ray Technicians / Assistants in Private Hospitals / Nursing Homes or with Private Medical Practitioners etc.
b) The Diploma holder may open his/her own X-ray Centre in any part of the country. Subject to state Law’s or under the supervision of Medical Professional / Radiologist / Cardiologist.

Ophthalmic Assistant

Certificate Course in OPHTHALMIC ASSISTANT [Popularly known as “Oph”]

1. Minimum Qualification for Admission Matric, 10+1, 10+2. B.Sc., B.A., B.Com. or any equivalent Qualifications.
2. Age: No age Restriction.
3. Sex: Both Sexes eligible for Admission.
4. Duration: One Academic Year/Two year.
5. He/She can open his/her Opthematery shop at any part of the country Subject to state law’s or under the supervisor of a medical professional/eye surgeon.
6. The diploma holder will be suitable for an appointment as Oph. Asstt. in all private eye hospital or with private Medical practitioners.
7. 70% attendance in theoretical/Practical training classes is compulsory for candidate enrolled for appearing in the final examination.

Electro Cardiography Technology

Certificate Course in ELECTRO-CARDIOGRAPHY TECHNOLOGY [Popularly known as “E.C.G. Tech.”]

1. Minimum qualification for admission: Matric, 10+1, 10+2, B.Sc., B.A., B.Com., or any equivalent Qualifications.
2. Duration: 6 months course.
3. The medium of instructions: English, Punjabi or Hindi.
4. 70% Attendance in theoretical/practical training classes is compulsory for the candidate enrolled for appearing n the final examination.
5. Employment Opportunities :
   Candidates will be suitable for appointment as ECG Tech./Assistant in Private Hospital/Nursing Homes or with private medical practitioners etc.
   A certificate holder may open his/her on ECG Centre in any part of the country. Subject to state law’s or under the supervision of medical professional/cardiologist.

Note: The ECG certificate course is only allowed for the students of GNIMT who are doing the Diploma courses in X-Ray technology or Medical Technology. The ECG certificate course is not permitted for other candidates.
