CMS & ED, also known as Community Medical Services and Essential Drugs, is a healthcare-oriented program designed to provide knowledge of primary healthcare, community medicine, preventive care, and essential drug use. Students learn about basic healthcare services, first aid, common diseases, public health awareness, patient communication, and community health programs. The course helps students understand how healthcare support services can be delivered in rural and community settings. It also covers responsible use of essential medicines, health education, disease prevention, and basic patient support. Practical exposure allows students to participate in community healthcare activities and awareness programs. Graduates can work with community health centers, NGOs, primary healthcare clinics, healthcare organizations, and public health programs.
