About the
OPTO Program

Helping people see a brighter future

Optometry Technology is a specialized healthcare program designed to train students in vision care and eye health. The course provides knowledge of eye anatomy, visual assessment, refraction techniques, optical instruments, contact lens technology, and patient care. Students learn how to perform vision screening, identify refractive errors, assist in eye examinations, and support ophthalmologists and optometrists in clinical settings. The program combines classroom learning with practical exposure so students can confidently use modern ophthalmic equipment and communicate with patients professionally. It also covers preventive eye care, optical dispensing, basic eye disease awareness, and clinical procedures. After completing the course, students can work in eye hospitals, optical clinics, vision care centers, and ophthalmology departments.

Optometry Technology focuses on vision care, eye examinations, visual assessment, contact lens fitting, and optical healthcare services. Students learn to identify vision problems, assist in diagnosing eye conditions, and support corrective and preventive eye care.
